Welcome to the website for the Global Forum on Nicotine 2016. This was the third conference in the series, held again at the Marriott Hotel, in Warsaw, on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th June 2016.
Once again a multi-stakeholder event, we had participants from 51 countries. Participants include policy analysts, regulators and standards experts, academics and researchers, parliamentarians, public health professionals, consumer advocates, and makers and distributors of alternative nicotine products – all with an interest in nicotine and its uses.
The agenda for the conference addressed 3 key issues: Evidence, Accountability and Transparency. There was a mixture of plenary, parallel, workshop and satellite sessions, an exhibition of scientific posters, as well as plenty of opportunities to network informally, including during the social events during the conference.
This year also saw GFN host the European Premiere screening of "A Billion Lives", the influential documentary made by Aaron Biebert and colleagues, from New Era Productions, which has been well-received across the globe by individuals and organisations concerned with promoting sensible policies and regulation of new nicotine products and technologies.
The GFN 2017 Conference website & registration will open in September 2016. We look forward to seeing you again in Warsaw in June next year!
